This past weekend, at the First Annual Texas Sports Chiropractic Conference, I had the opportunity to interview Seun Adigun. Seun was the driver of the historic 2018 Nigerian Olympic bobsled team in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Her story is impressive and so is her resume. Seun is a native of Chicago, but has spent much of her life in Houston. She attended the University of Houston on a track and field scholarship, where she earned a bronze medal at the NCAA Outdoor Championships while graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration on Health Professions and a minor in Psychology. She received a Master’s in Physical Education. She later represented Nigeria in the 100 meter hurdles and the 4×100 meter relay. She competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She was a three time Nigerian National Champion and a two time African Continental Champion.
After the the 2014 Winter Olympics, Seaun saw several friends switch from track to bobsled and something motivated her to make the switch as well. She recruited her teammates and began to train. The teams qualification for the 2018 Winter Games was historic because it is the first Nigerian Bobsled team to ever compete in the Olympics.
Sean graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in December of 2017 and intends to open an integrated chiropractic practice in Houston.
